Initial Process

 Hello and thank you for partnering with us in prayer for Move Church. Move Church has been a prayer since 2008 and it's a joy to see it finally become a reality. As you can imagine, starting a new church takes a lot of different things; work, energy, vision, drive, money, people, etc. The most important thing it takes is prayer and that's why we are honored and thrilled that you are our prayer partner.

We wanted to take a minute to update you on our process and give you some specific prayer points. This past Sunday, October 2nd, we announced to our current church that God has called us to start a new church. The responses were mixed with some being shocked, some being excited, and some being upset. All of those responses are expected and normal.

During the next several weeks I, along with our Leadership Team, will be developing a sponsorship plan. For about 6-9 more months I will stay on staff at CenterPoint Church in a hybrid role. This will allow me to continue to minister in Brunswick while planning for the new church in Valdosta, GA.

We are currently recruiting prayer partners. The Bible says, "The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." - James 5:16. We desire to recruit prayer partners who will earnestly pray.

Within the next couple of months, we will begin recruiting the core group. We will ask people who are "interested" in helping start a new church to attend a training to see if it's what God is leading them to partner with. 

Here are the prayer points as of right now:

• Pray for the people that God has called us to reach. Pray for their hearts to be prepared and softened to the Gospel.
• Pray for us, and the Leadership Team of CenterPoint Church, as we develop a sponsorship plan.
• Pray and ask God to speak to you and show you and your family how you specifically can help and support this mission.
